Kenneth H. Bridges, CPA, PFS
Mr. Bridges holds a Bachelor of Professional Accountancy degree from Mississippi State University and a Master of Tax Accounting degree from The University of Alabama. He was awarded the Gold Medal by the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants for scoring the highest on the CPA Examination. He also holds the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation.
Prior to forming Bridges & Dunn-Rankin in 1993, Kent worked with the Big Four firm KPMG and with an Atlanta-based CPA firm.
The focus of Kent’s practice is taxation, and includes extensive experience in the taxation of C corporations, Subchapter S corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, individuals, estates, trusts and private foundations. In addition to his work in the federal income tax area, Kent works in the areas of financial accounting, estate & gift tax, multistate income tax, sales & use tax, property tax, and mergers & acquisitions. He is experienced in the international area, both with respect to inbound and outbound investment, and works with clients in the technology, real estate, services, manufacturing, distribution, construction and healthcare industries, as well as high net worth families.
Professional affiliations include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (where he has served on its Real Estate Advisory Council), and the North Atlanta Tax Council. Kent is a member of the Technology Alliance of Georgia, the Cobb Chamber of Commerce, Johnson Ferry Baptist Church, and the Atlanta Country Club (where he has served on its Board of Directors, Finance Committee and Membership Committee, and served as Chairman of Finance Committee and Secretary and Treasurer of the Club). He is a sponsor of High Tech Ministries, and a member of the Host Committee for its annual prayer breakfast. He is also a past Chairman of the Finance Committee for First Baptist Church of Smyrna, past Treasurer and Chairman of the Finance Committee for Good Samaritan Health Center of Cobb, past Treasurer for the Walton High School Cinder Club, and a past President of the Atlanta Chapter of Mississippi State University Alumni. Kent is an avid golfer and enjoys sports and fitness activities in general.
Kent and his wife Veronica reside in Marietta and have three young adult daughters.
