Kevin S. Kraus, CPA, CFP

Mr. Kraus serves as partner-in-charge of personal financial planning and investment advisory services for the firm, and is founder and president of the firm’s affiliate Compass Financial Consulting, LLC.

As the “chief financial officer” to high net worth families, Kevin provides coordinated financial, tax and investment strategies, specializing in the areas of executive compensation, small business strategies, estate and charitable planning.  Kevin has been working with high net worth clients ranging from Fortune 500 executives to small business owners and professional athletes since 1994.  Kevin takes a collaborative approach in working with clients and their advisors with the ultimate goal of serving the client’s interests first and foremost.

Kevin received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Stetson University.  He began his career in public accounting with the CPA firm McGladrey & Pullen, and then subsequently joined Price Waterhouse, auditing a variety of public and private companies before leaving for the financial services industry.

Kevin left Price Waterhouse to join Ronald Blue & Co., an Atlanta-based financial planning and investment management firm specializing in serving high net worth clientele.  As a client manager, he served a diverse group of clients from executives to small business owners with net worths ranging from $500,000 up to $15 million. In 1999, Kevin founded Compass Financial Consulting, LLC, which has since become an affiliate of Bridges & Dunn-Rankin, LLP.

Kevin has written articles for investment publications and church newsletters, and has spoken to groups on the importance of raising financially literate children.  He and his wife, Sue, and their three children, reside in Marietta.
